Betfair response to racing’s submission published

I see the Levy Board has posted on the ‘news’ page of its website the Betfair response to racing’s submission in relation to the 50th Levy Scheme. I mistakenly posted yesterday that it was their full submission to the levy consultation which was opened on the back of David Zeffman’s article on behalf of the BHA published by the Racing Post, but it’s fair to say that will be rather longer when it comes out.

If you haven’t read it, you can see it here.

For reasons I can’t quite put my finger on, each time I read it,  I can’t get that tune that used to play when you got eaten at the end of Pacman out of my head.

But who has been playing the ghosts and who has been eating the dots? 🙂

I love the “CONFIDENTIAL and not for reproduction without prior written consent” on the doc & then them publishing it anyway. Did they ask beforehand?

TG – I gather they did, to be fair.Betfair were happy to give it, I gather. I’m not surprised: the more widely the Betfair view is aired, the more difficult it is to disagree with it, I would say. You could say I’m biased; but it seems to me that it is lack of knowledge about Betfair’s position that continues to allow people to argue against it. I haven’t come across anyone who starts from an independent position who hasn’t come down on the Betfair side after properly hearing both sides of the argument.
